The video for Wiz Khalifa’s “Oh Gee La” depicts a studio session with him, Lola Monroe, and Juicy J recording this freestyle. Of course the scenery is plush with green. Lola Monroe looks real chill…I see she’s fitting in with the Taylor Gang.

Groundzero begins with Cherlise speaking on what it means to be at ground zero. There are five more instances in which she does this throughout the project as sort of a guide to the listener on where she’s headed with the next songs and how they all tie into being at ground zero. The first song on the mixtape, “Stranger” sets the tone for the project and showcases upfront Cherlise’s vocal abilities and strengths.

DIVA Release: M.I.A.: “Bad Girls”

January 30th 2:30 pm EST M.I.A. is set to debut her new single “Bad Girls” via Pitchfork. The song was produced by Danja and recorded in Miami. It will officially be available January 31st. On February 3rd she will be releasing the video for the single directed by Romain Gavras via VICE’s Noisey YouTube Channel. Her fourth album is due this summer on N.E.E.T./Interscope Records.

M.I.A. always makes a statement with her music and I’m sure this will be no different.

Kelly releases her video for “Keep it Between Us” with the sexual chocolate drop Lance Gross as her leading man. That alone is enough to make you watch the video but outside of that the video plays out like a movie. It takes place in Paris, France with both of them reflecting on their relationship and all of its goodness. Apparently there is currently some tension and the two take separate walks around the city and end up together. It’s cute and Lance Gross is HOTT!

When asked about her relationship with Fat Joe here’s what she had to say:

Well, I and Joe are really, really close. It’s funny because he’s been blowing my phone up about this mixtape. I’ve known Joe for like three and a half years now. He’s always known I can sing. He’s always known I could write. But for some reason with this mixtape he’s just a believer. It’s a very humbling experience. It’s funny because when we did the song “I’m So Ready” on “Groundzero” he texted me about how much he loved the record. I had to text him back and say sometimes I think I forget who I’m dealing with because I’m so close to you. But I’m really dealing with a legend. When you’re around somebody all the time sometimes you forget that. He really makes me forget it because he’s so humble and down to earth. I’m so thankful for him.

Nicki’s blatantly firing shots…no subliminal shots here and she’s the female Weezy if you didn’t know. On another note, her singing “You a stupid hoe” at the end of the song is like R. Kelly singing “your boo-ooty” at the end of “Feeling on Your Booty”. Who would have ever thought anyone would sing those words?
